Terms of Service

End User License Agreement (EULA)

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the VitaDuo application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these terms, do not use the App.

The App is developed and operated by VitaDuo Team ("we", "us", "our").

2. Service Description

VitaDuo is a values discovery and self-exploration platform providing the following core features:

  • A 66-question values assessment (covering Core Values, Lifestyle, Social Views, Relationships, Personality, and Communication)
  • Values radar chart visualization
  • Values insights and percentile rankings
  • Daily values reflection cards
  • Like-minded partner recommendations based on cosine similarity algorithm
  • In-app instant messaging

3. User Eligibility

To use the App, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have full legal capacity
  • Provide truthful and accurate registration information

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.

4. User Accounts

4.1 Registration

During registration, nickname, age, and gender are required fields. City and contact information are optional. If you choose not to provide contact information, the system will automatically generate an internal identifier to ensure full account functionality.

4.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. If you discover any unauthorized use, please contact us immediately.

4.3 One Account Per User

Each user is limited to one account. Multiple registrations may result in account suspension or termination.

5. Code of Conduct

5.1 Zero Tolerance Policy

We maintain a zero tolerance policy for the following:

  • Inappropriate content: Including but not limited to hate speech, harassment, nudity, pornography, graphic violence, illegal content, and content harmful to minors
  • Abusive behavior: Including but not limited to cyberbullying, personal attacks, threats, stalking, and spam
  • False information: Using fake identities or falsifying personal information
  • Commercial abuse: Using the platform for commercial promotion, pyramid schemes, or fraud

5.2 Consequences of Violations

Users who violate the above rules will have their violating content immediately removed, and their account may be suspended or permanently terminated without any refund.

6. Privacy & Data Protection

We value and protect your privacy. For details on how we collect, use, and protect your personal data, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

6.1 AI Companion Feature

The App includes an AI chat companion feature. This feature is entirely powered by our own server-side logic and infrastructure:

  • No user data is transmitted to any external AI service provider
  • All AI-generated content is processed within our infrastructure
  • User messages, profile attributes, and any other personal information remain on our servers and are not shared externally

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, icons, and code of the App are owned by VitaDuo Team and protected by intellectual property laws. No part of the App may be copied, modified, or distributed without our written permission.

Content generated by users within the App (such as personal bios, chat messages) remains the intellectual property of the respective users. Users grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use such content for the purpose of providing the service.

8. Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is" without any express or implied warranties. We do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted, secure, or error-free service
  • The accuracy or suitability of matching results
  • The quality or safety of interactions with other users

Interactions between users are at their own risk. We recommend exercising caution when communicating with strangers.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the App.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, for any reason, without notice. You may also delete your account at any time.

Upon termination, we reserve the right to retain certain information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated through in-app notifications or email. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Any disputes arising from these terms shall first be resolved through friendly negotiation; if negotiation fails, either party may file a lawsuit with a court of competent jurisdiction where we are located.
